Welcome, Fall!

  • Read more about monarch migration and how to help monarchs!
  • Learn Kelsey’s fall songs. Recording and music coming soon!
  • Have fun in the leaves. Toss them, jump in them, paste them to paper for a collage, create a crown, or make leaf rubbings.
  • Go on a fall nature hike and do a scavenger hunt. See if you can find leaves in different colors, acorns, animal tracks, a feather, pinecones, berries, mushrooms, and spider webs!
  • Taste different kinds of apples and see which ones you like best.
  • Visit a farmer’s market to see different kinds of pumpkins and other fruits and vegetables that are ready to harvest in the fall.
  • Paint a pumpkin, or carve it into a jack-o-lantern or fairy house.

Welcome, Winter!

  • Watch Kelsey read Winter: A Solstice Story on the SimonKids YouTube Channel.
  • Learn Kelsey’s Celebrate Solstice song! Download the sheet music.
  • Use a jar, paper cup, or paper bag to create a lantern or luminaria to shine brightly on the longest night.
  • Talk with your school or other local organization about holding a winter gear drive to help people in your community stay warm during the winter.
  • Make a simple feeder to supply food for birds and other animals in winter.
  • Cut out snowflake decorations following a video, or design your own!
  • Snuggle up with a blanket and a GOOD BOOK!
